A UNIQUE AND INDEPENDENT IDENTITY
Carlos Polite is a Colombian designer. He studied Fine Arts at the Complutense
University of Madrid and holds a Master’s degree in Design and Art.
After several years of consolidation as a fashion company, the brand underwent a complete transformation in 2010 with the creation of the artistic direction and the arrival of Carlos Polite as creative director. His incorporation marked a turning point for the firm: under his vision, Polite developed an independent perspective and a distinct identity, capable of transforming its entire process and technical value into a genuine expression of a unique style, positioning the brand within the fashion world.
MATTER, ART, AND PURPOSE: THE POLITE UNIVERSE
From Ibagué, a mid-sized Colombian city with a strong textile tradition and a vocation
for garment making, a brand emerged in 2010 dedicated to the development of
luxury products with social responsibility.
It has presented its collections at Colombiamoda, Paris Fashion Week, New York
Fashion Week, and 080 Barcelona Fashion. It has also collaborated with artists such
as Spanish artist Iraida Lombardia, British artist Matthew Brookes, the artistic
collective Comes Cake, and the New York–based production company Noir Tribe,
specialized in fashion films, among others.
The brand has received accolades such as Best Designer and Best Stage Design,
awarded by the Colombian magazine Cromos. In addition, its fashion film I Am an
Individual was awarded Best Fashion Film at the CinéFashion Film Festival (The Saban – Beverly Hills), as well as at Fashion Films Dominican Republic and the Miami
Fashion Film Festival. Its work has been featured in international media outlets
including
SModa, Buro247, Factice Magazine, Diners Magazine, Vogue, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar,
Elle Canada y WWD, among others.

At the POLITE Atelier, creation is an act of exploration.
A space where art and fashion converge to give life to pieces that transcend
functionality.
Here, fabrics are hand-painted, pattern making is reimagined, and each garment is
constructed as an individual work of art.
Artisanal experimentation becomes a language, and intentional imperfection reveals
the human essence behind every stroke and seam.
The atelier is both laboratory and creative refuge: a territory where form, color, and
structure engage in a constant search for balance.
POLITE transforms matter into expression — where each piece is the result of a
gesture, a thought, a story.
